RULES - Wakesurf OPEN BRAZIL 2016

General information

• Boat: MasterCraft X23
• Ballasts agreed at the discretion of the organization without changing the set up in batteries;
• Vessel will be supplied at the discretion of the organization;
• The number of people on board will be kept constant in all the batteries in all phases, as follows: 1 pilot, 3 judges, 1 support and 1 photographer;
• Initial speed right by the pilot category: 12mph;
• The speed may be right for wakesurfista with visual signs up & down with thumb;
• The lane condition will be the condition of the moment, not allowing complaints about ripples caused by other boats or wind;
• Competitors may not change board over the past, except in case of breakage;
• The maximum size board for this competition is 6.5;
• They can not compete with athletes SUP boards;
• It will be compulsory to use vest saves lives;
• MAXIMUM OF 40 COMPETITORS;

Categories

Male:

• Junior (up to 12 full years on January 01 of this year)
•Amateur
• Master (over 43 full years on January 01 of this year)
• Outlaw (any age)
• Pro (all ages)

Female:

• Junior (up to 12 full years on January 01 of this year)
•Amateur
• Master Female (older than 35 full years on January 01 of this year)
• Outlaw (any age)
• Pro (all ages)

Important note
Not being made distinctions categories skim and surf style. However, as the competition is validated by the Competitive World Wakesurf Association and the World Series of Wakesurfing, at the time the results are transmitted to the world organization, be informed participant mode.

Competition Format

• Will be 2 phases: Elimination Round and Final Round (except for junior division - justo one round);
• Elimination Round: On March 26 from 09: 00h to 13: 00h;
• Finals: On March 26 from 14: 00h to 17: 00h;
• They are classified for the final stage of the top 5 finishers in each division, this number may be changed at the discretion of the organization;
• The junior division has only one phase;
• The award will be for the top 3 in each category;
• Competitors must be present to check in at the event, signing declaration of responsibility and registration fee payment on March 26 between 09: 00h and 09: 30h at the latest. The registration fee is $ 50.00 to be paid by cash, check or by debit to investors.
• Competitors who do not attend the check in will be disqualified.
• For the progress of the competition, the boat will not wait any competitor (a) and those who are not ready at the time of departure of their past will be disqualified;
• The starting order of each participant will be published and reported on March 26 at the check or by email, SMS and also published on the competition website;
• The organization is not responsible for messages received or not be truncated by email or SMS. ë the sole responsibility of the participant to access the site of the competition from March 26 to 00: 01h and check your entry schedule on page called RUNNING ORDER.
• It will be up to the competitor (a) monitor the competition throughout the day and be ready and equipped at the time the support vessel dock to take you (a) the exit point, WHAT WILL HAPPEN 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE LAST OF TIME;

Judgment

• There will be 3 judges on the boat;
• The judges will give scores from 1 to 10 for each of the following criteria;
• Difficulty (1-10)
• Intensity (1-10)
• Variety (1-10)
• Execção (1-10)
• The final score of the competitor will be the sum (of 3 judges) of the points obtained in the above criteria (4-40);
• Competitors (as) will not have access to the notes before the official announcement, made after all entries;
• Protests, for any reason, shall be submitted to the chief judge of the competition to competitive dapassada end, and its decisions will be final. To protest, the competitor must complete the standard organization protest form (available in Juria) and pay the amount equivalent to 1 registration.
• Boarding and landing maneuvers on the boat deck are prohibited;

Boat Navigation

• Boat follows a straight path along a predefined streak by the organization and marked with large buoys;
• The streak will be mounted with a distance between the buoys calculated on the boat navigation to 12mph by the time of 1 minute;
• The maneuvers should be between the buoys of demarcation;
• Any maneuver performed out of the lane or the athlete holding the lever will not be valid;
• The vessel will make two passes, one in each direction of the streak;
• Number of drops allowed in the streak: 3 in total, be they in any sense;
• Falls on the first pass (one way) after 3/4 demarcation buoy require the rider then holding the cable to the return point.
• Falls on the second last (back) after 3/4 demarcation buoy enclose the last rider.
• Number of falls outside the permitted streak: 1 (from the second drop off lane, the athlete loses falls inside of the lane in the same proportion);
• In the third fall, the boat goes to take the next participant and the athlete will be rescued by jet ski;
